Hi guys! I have two Buff Orpington hens crossed with who-knows-what. They are fairly large and I can tell them apart easily. I don't know what I want to name them. I have a laying hen named Rosie and a bunch of Silkies. I want something cute that goes together like a pair. Right now I have them nicknamed Thelma and Loise but I'm not sure that I like it. One is larger then the other and the smaller one has black speckles on her neck. There is no prize other then the fact that you get to know you named my chickens. lol. Anyways, I'm stumped and I need some ideas.

I'll try to get pics, but no gaurantees because I'm going to be pretty busy these next few days.

    Thanks!

I like naming them after Queens. Examples: Elizabeth, Victoria, Anne, etc. I also like picking something from their personality, then typing it in on www.behindthename.com under meanings. Then you get names from almost any language that fit the meaning! For instance, I might name a white silkie Yuki, for "snow" or Tsuki, for "moon". Also on this site are twin names, for instance Cara and Mia, which put together, caramia, is Italian for "My beloved". Or Columba and Jemima, which both mean dove.
