    Fascinating published journal article detailing the use of artemesia annua (wormwood, sweet Annie) as a dietary supplement in the daily diet. Better control of disease, higher weights and food intake, larger eggs, more frequent laying, better yolk color... It is technical, so if you just want the info quicker, skip to the section labeled "discussion" near the end. This part uses plain language for the most part.

    Note that the plant produces the beneficial chemicals in fall just before it flowers, and the chemical concentration is contained in the top third of leaves on the plant.
