I have a large bag of extra thick rolled oats and have seen past threads that say chickens like them...
Should I cook them or give raw…which do you think they like the best?

We're having a very cold streak here, thinking about cooking in microwave and serving warm. Any opine will be greatly appreciated.

You can do either. One advantage of cooked (or even just soaked/wetted) is that it is an added source of hydration for the birds....

Thanks so much. Gonna cook them for my sweeties tomorrow. We have a freeze coming tonite, winds 20 mph, gust 35 mph today with a high near 50 and they were quite stressed til we got the the acrylic wind block on the prevailing wind side of the run today.
