I told a friend about the color rangers and sent her the webpage.

Her friend raises some Cornish X meat birds every year, and finds them repulsive to have around. Knowing them both, I suggested she look into the the JM hatchery color rangers that so many here are trying out. Seems it would fit better with her husbandry practices and general philosophy.

And the question came back:

The BIG question for Audrey -- or I -- would be: How well do they grill on the Big Green Egg? Usually we cook her gigonzo white chickens (size of smallish turkeys) at 300-350 for about an hour.

So?

FYI, The Big Green Egg is a mega-fancy heavy cast-iron egg-shaped grill that is also more or less an oven, and a smoker.

I told her I'd ask here.
