My pullets are 21 weeks old, and 2 of them have been laying for over a week now. My Dark Cornish and one of the EE. In this pic, the big egg in the middle is from my 2 year old Leghorn/Production Red mix. The long skinny egg at the top of the picture is from my 7 year old EE in my avatar pic. She hasn't laid an egg in years! So what the heck got into her, I don't know.
I can't wait for the rest of the flock to get with it. Come on girls, I'm getting excited for more eggs!
The exposure of the picture is weird. In real life, all the green ones are identical and the little brown ones are identical. So far the EE laid 7 days in a row, and the DC has laid 6 eggs in 9 days. Not too bad for a breed that really isn't supposed to lay much.
