I'm in Texas and I have 10 chickens. Hoping they all survive the heat this summer! We had one die last year from the heat. Last year I put up a little hose across the fence that would spray misty water and that kept them cool. Does anyone else have ideas? Just curious what you all do.

Old milk gallon size jugs...filled about 2 inches from the top.
Freeze them.
Place them in the coop or run...so they can lean up against them to cool off.

I'm in Fl & it's already into the 90's. I have an old box fan & I turn it on, about 5' from the coop, & it provides air movement for them.

Usuallly in summer it gets around 90s and 80s.It has gotten to 110,but lots of time it stays in the 90s and on occasion might n above a hundred.
