I use a suncast shed, and a 10x10 dog kennel for the run.
I have 6 hens. Does this sound like its alright?

Greetings from Kansas leabag1, and :welcome! Great to have you with us. With 10 sq. ft. per bird necessary for the run, you are good to go there. Coop space should be about 4 sq. ft. per bird. Not sure how big your shed is. Best wishes and have fun with your flock. :)

Unless the shed has ventilation (mainly around the roof) you will have to add it yourself.

Welcome to BYC [IMG] Glad you joined the flock! That sounds about right yes. Just make sure you have enough ventilation, nest boxes (at least 3 to prevent traffic jams) and make it predator proof and you're good to go.

Hello there, and welcome to Backyard chickens! You have gotten great advice from everybody there. @sumi is right about the nesting boxes but I do have 7 nesting boxes, yet my hens only ever use one. The other six have never even been used. My avatar is a picture of the hens fighting over the favorite. Please make yourself at home, and enjoy BYC!
