We raise dairy goats so we have cattle panels for fencing in some areas and for setting up temporary fencing. So when we sold out of goats in 2012 I had an abundance of panels laying around which were turned into chicken runs since I was traded a large number of chickens for partial payment for a goat. (We got back into goats the following year so we do have goats.) Anyway, I thought it might be interesting to share what some of our runs looked like just in case they may inspire someone or prove useful in some way.

This is what we referred to as our top barn. It was a carport that was enclosed. It has since been gutted and sides removed and we plan to move the carport across the property to turn into a buck barn. We had some sex-links in the left coop/run and some juvenile easter eggers in the right.

The roof of the left run was two cattle panels covered in welded wire and then a tarp.

I love using cattle panels with welded wire on them. I use them for goat pens and stalls as well.
