I have not raised chickens in 6 years, and have been wanting chickens for a while. For my birthday this year my grandparents are getting me a custom made chicken coop. I am really overwhelmed, by all of the options and want something that fits around 8-12 chickens. If you have any advice please help me out.

Welcome to BYC, Sarah! Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on Mountain Peeps links. Feel free to ask any specific questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your coop. Do you have any particular breed preference as far as chickens?

Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

Yes, it can be overwhelming at first. But trust me, once you get your birds, they will have you trained in no time! [IMG]

Definitely follow the link to our coops pages that Mountain Peeps has provided. Lots of good ideas from our members there.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!
