I know it’s a cockerel but I’m in denial. Hoping that I can manifest my destiny and will it to be a hen What do y’all think?

Normally, the biggest indicator is the size and redness of the comb and waddles. You can also tell by the feathers by the tail.

That comb is huge and red! Only a laying or almost laying pullet would have one like that and yours look to be too young for that to be the case

You never know. Some Maran hens have large red combs. Here is some info I found.

That's true, but those are fully mature laying hens. If a chick has the same size and isn't at minimum 4+ months old, it's a sign of being a cockerel
