Going to go look at goats tomorrow! And sell some chicks along the way.

That’s true!! I’ve never read those I don’t think hahaOr you could read ON the internet... I enjoy good fanfiction when I can find it. Guess it depends on what your interests are.
My mistake ... It's the PIXIES in the bushes that bite ... the fairies are just really, REALLY sneaky. I guess it's time for a reread ...![]()
Okay - back to reality for a moment.
Will somebody PLEASE hold me back before I murderize DD's boyfriend's mother?
He lives out of state, so in a moment of weakness and compassion (they haven't seen each other since March) I allowed him to come spend some time with us. I trust them both implicitly ... that's not the issue.
The ISSUE! - and yes, I shouted for a reason - is that his mother is at home, cranky and wanting him to return early. Apparently she's not feeling well and needs him to come home and feed the chickens & goats for her (her 11 year old isn't required to help, because she has a friend over, this week.)
"Gee, what's wrong?" Well, "Mom" has been achy, with a low-grade fever, for over a week, now (pre DD's BF pick-up) and her temp just spiked. Now, I know this kid isn't exactly her top priority in life (I could tell stories, but I won't, 'cause I REALLY like him!) But, really? Achy? Fever? In a pandemic? And she didn't say anything about it to me when we made the plans? Even though she KNEW we were going to my mother's 80th Birthday Social-Distancing Party?
Somebody just shoot me now before I hurt someone!

May you all be safe. They are horrible, I agree. The bites itch forever!Pixies..... are they teeny, teeny, tiny, like chiggers?I'm about half convinced chiggers don't exist. What happens is, if you stand still, the bloomin' grass bites you! Since you never actually see a chigger. . .horrid things!
I think the only chance we have of pushing her into testing is if my daughter calls her IN TEARS begging her to, just to protect her grandmother. This broad is all about Number One. Her own son comes last and I fall waaaaaaaay below him! She likes my daughter, so here's to hoping that works, but I'm not holding my breath.
I'm so angry right now that I'm fighting tears, myself.

I'm sorry, that's all that I can offer... have another one:
It's okay to cry -- don't fight the tears, just let them out. Crying helps, sometimes.
NOOOO!!! I watched the movie for Where the Red Fern Grows and I never cried so hard.
Yep, Old Teller, Fox & the Hound and Homeward Bound! Gosh, I had forgotten all the dog books I've read. Cats too.
Of course who could forget Charlotte's Web.
