We were going to, in Catholic school, but my class found Chaucer so offensive we refused. Got assigned something else. My DD was reading Romeo and Juliet to me this past semester and we wrre both scandalized. Guess we are a family of prudes.
Watch West Side Story, instead. It's the rare instance of a modernized version of a classic being as good as the original.

What is she? Only my 3 BO ever go broody, and I reach into the nests every day to take eggs out from under them and they don't bat an eye.
Evie is a Nankin bantam. Gemzilla is a buff bantam cochin. She's normally an absolute "Gem," hence her name. but once the first egg in her commandeered nest (stolen from Evie,) hatched, she turned on the world to protect her little one. She is so aggressive that, while I was changing out water * food, she attacked my hand and landed on her other eggs, crushing one and cracking another. The crushed egglet died. The other one hatched, but Gemz wants nothing to do with the little interloper, so "Lonesome" is inside with a tiny stuffed bunny for company. That's gonna be one spoiled baby!

Years ago we had a client who owned an Irish Setter that they couldn't control or train. So, after reading "Born Free', they decided to get a lion cub! We heard about it after the fact (they sure didn't want any advice!). This poor lioness was contained, the neighbors were furious, and the idiot owners then complained about the cost of her food. Imagine, feeding a cat that's going to weigh in at 300+ pounds!
After she got loose in the neighborhood, once, they moved her on, to a place no doubt equally unsuitable. Their township discovered that there were, until then, no ordinances against having such 'pets'.
It's likely still possible to buy such critters, BTW.

Agreed! And it makes me so mad yet so sad too. Like so many people get Huskies, Aussies, Border Collies, even Malinois, all these intense working breeds, lately because they’re “popular” or “cute” and then can’t handle them and get mad at the dog for having so much energy or whatever! :barnie

Or like corgis are huge right now and people don’t realize they’re active herding dogs or that shiba inus aren’t cuddly despite the cuteness lol

Too many people get the popular dog they see all over the Internet with zero thought. 😤😤
My best friend rescued a Malinois that was waaaaay too much for his owners. Now that he's getting the proper work and attention, Rocky's an awesome dog ... but I wouldn't want him living at MY house. Heck, if we weren't already so attached, I'd send Crazy Dog back. She's WAY too high maintenance. My Border Collie mix was wonderful (RIP my sweet Tag) high energy, but trainable. Crazy Dog has just enough BC to make her smart, but not enough to make her truly intelligent. She's as smart as a whip, but has absolutely ZERO common sense. She's driving me NUTS!

I divorced my X for that same reason!:lau

Funny thing, that. I divorced mine for about the same reasons, too ... but I'm actually willing to work with the dog. At least with her, there's a chance for success ... eventually!! :lau
Exactly!! "What's not to understand about that?"
