Enough!
Somewhat related to comments a few pages ago, I had another C-19 test today, three months after my positive test August 27th. Another couple of co-workers are home with C-19, so I'll see how this test comes out.
If negative, great. If positive, maybe a new breakout infection, or still positive from August.
More info coming in a couple of days...

Oh, my! Still positive from August? Yikes! Are you feeling sick?

Oh, I saw your update. Glad you are doing well

Thank you. I have called and tried to speak with district manager. We spoke once 2 mos ago. He said he would get it fixed. He now refuses to contact me. I have gone to the city officials . I quote " I'm not sure what we can do about this." I spoke to the fire chief. He told DG he would give them some but would come back. Two weeks later I still can't get in the store. Disability right be violated Government won't call me back. Do to covid no one is in their offices . The employees seem to think it is a joke. I have asked for help and they say they are busy. So, I take pics. and walk out. Covid hasn't done me any favors.
Call a local church and see if there is anyone who would be willing to help you shop. Call Salvation Army or United Way. Try Catholic Charities or your local Seventh-day Adventist church. Best wishes!

Covid no one thinks they really have to work. They just show up for the pay check. I saw a sign at McDonald's Printed out that said Be kind to the employees. We showed up today. That attitude seems to be the Covid way.
Do you have Medicaid? You may qualify for an assistant. Check with your local Center for Independence. It may be listed under your County listings. Or check with your Medicaid office.

Employers tolerate it now. I don't go off my poperty much do to my disablities. I notice this attitude every time I go out now before not so much. It pains me to think that I am having these problems there have to be many others out there. I speak up. I tell everyone hoping to help those that feel like they can't stand up for themelves. So if anyone out there knows of elderly or disabled people knock on their door make sure they are okay. See if they need help getting food.... ect. So many don't have support. I don't have family and only friends that live in other states.
I have still waiting for ADA to call me back. I call once a week asking them to call me.
Write to your Congressman and State Representative. Document actions you have taken, names of persons you have spoken to and responses you have (or have not) gotten. Include those pictures and also dates and times if phone calls to ADA. Keep a copy and send one to that Dollar General store.

Haven't been here for awhile. Life goes on here on our 29 acre park. We only go out for doctors appointments and hospitals for tests we might have to get. I wound up in the ER in September with what turned out to be diverticulitis with an intestinal bleed and wind up across the hall in the ER from a young woman with covid. I laid there with my mask on tight and the blanket pulled up over my mouth and nose. I was glad when they sent me home but doctors, specialists colonoscopies and doctors appointments, skin cancer surgeries later and we are still alive and kicking.

I feel what you are going through Stacey. You are in IL. Any chance there is a HyVee any where close to you? We used to live in Western IL and there was one in Macomb near where we used to live. We have one in Kirksville here in Missouri and they have Isles on Line where you can shop on line, pay with a credit card and have your order picked up for you or pick it up yourself. Some areas are offering delivery.

Our small town here lost it's only grocery store over the summer also. Not due to Covid but due to the company scaling back. A Dollar Tree is going in in it's place but that won't fill freezers or pantries the way the old C&R did.

Someday do I think live will get back to normal? Nope. this is the new normal I fear and that is scary.

Stay safe everyone.
Microchick! ❤️ There you are! Goid to see you! Granny mentioned you just the ither day. My goodness you've been through the wringer. Glad you are still kicking after all that, we've missed you!

As for how Covid is affecting me: my DD lives in TX; I haven't seen her in 3 or 4 years. She recently came into some money and can afford to fly out to see me. But her husband is an adamant believer that the vaccines are evil and they won't get them. I'm pretty sure she'd have to be vaccinated to fly, plus I'd want her to be vaccinated to come here. Her husband called me a few days ago to tell me that I'll never see her again. And worse, neither will two of her children, who live with us.

My heart hurts.
