No but I've had those before. This one was smaller and had pink or blush in the name. I found it locally and it wasn't an heirloom. Was it Brandywine? Or a more rare variety? We love Brandywine.

Sounds good!! I had one once that was a brandy wine mix and another that was a mortgage lifter mix. Both were good.No but I've had those before. This one was smaller and had pink or blush in the name. I found it locally and it wasn't an heirloom.
No politician living.... but similar to the 1918 flu... which they were reminded ofHindsight is always 20/20. Nobody's ever been through something like this much less making decisions that directly affect people.
@FortCluckWoke up this morning with a cough and stuffy nose, but my allergies are ridiculous right now. The trees are getting their leaves so the pollen is insane right now. Everything is yellow!
I can tell I spent a lot of time outside yesterday. Think it's best during times like this. Outside is the best therapy
Do you guys take raw honey from honey bees for allergies over there? I know people on this side of the pond swear by it.@FortCluck
If you have a allergy for pollen don’t expose you’re self too much and keep the histamines in you’re body at a low level. If you don’t, its get worse every year.
- Get anti-histamines and take one every day until the pollen disappear.
- Avoid the pollen (stay inside with pollen filters or wear a corona-mask).

We take anti-histamines and my kiddo takes a prescription asthma and allergy medication so that could be why we haven't found local honey very effective so far.
SSE is where I plan on ordering corn seed if I ever go bigger, best place I've seen for large quantities, they have 10-25-and 50lbs for some varieties. I want to try Seneca red stalker, native to this area.Last year I ordered from Seed Savers Exchange and I really liked them. Usually I just buy in store. I had done a lot of research though and came across many of the other companies but SSE seemed like a good one to me and they were.![]()
I’m really amazed at the differences in food availability. Are you and @FortCluck both near large urban areas? I’m in a more rural area so perhaps that makes a difference. There was a marked difference between the two stores I went to last week.
I'm doing meat, cheese, beans, and salsa on them. They'll be a pretty complete meal
We just got issued a stay at home order. Not allowed to leave the state if we do it has to be a emergency. Then we have to quarantine for 14 days. Jail time no more than a year or $5000 fine if cought doing anything other than getting essential items, going to the hospital and things like that.
Kale is something I don't like![]()
I order from others also but I really like Baker Creek, their varieties are awesome.
As soon as any commercial place near you gets chicks RUN, we stopped at a feed store about an hour after the chicks arrived and they were practically ALL GONE! Apparently upon opening (before they even got chicks), people had been coming in waiting for them to get them in!
