First, THANK YOU, Everybody for the support and immediate prayers! I swear I could feel them, almost immediately - a sense of calm and focus. God is so very, very good - ans so are all of you!
I've finally had a chance to talk to my Dad. While all is definitely not well, it's a darned sight better than it could have been. The latest report is that Dean is hospitalized with a fever, but so far is not on a respirator. My Aunt is with him, Apparently she is not officially admitted, but is being allowed to quarantine herself with her husband - a weird but good side effect of her having tested positive, too. At least they can keep an eye on her, too and he doesn't have to be completely alone. I'll take that as a "plus."
Another positive is that, during my Dad's visit with the family two weekends ago, Dean and Joyce were NOT THERE. So, as long as no one else at the gathering had already picked it up from them, he may not have been exposed. He will contact his doctor first thing in the morning and request a test. Knowing my Dad, he'll talk the doctor out of it, but I hope common sense prevails and he gets it done.
So, all things considered, it could be worse. I guess I'm not going to see him for Father's Day, except maybe through the storm door glass, again. For now, I'm breathing ... slowly. If could just get my stomach to settle ...
