Correct Penicillin 250mg Oral Dosage by Weight???

What is the correct oral dosage by weight for 250mg penicillin?

How much per day, times per day, and for how long?

Some go to the trouble of calculating weight, but I never do. I use one 250mg dose once a day for ten days. Others break that into two doses a day. Feel free.

If you need to buy 500mg capsules, as TSC sell amoxicillin, you need to dump the powder, divide it, and administer it in appropriate doses. To make that easy, I make 250mg piles and use a small cube of bread dipped in oilve oil to sop up the powder. Then pry the beak open and shove the bread inside.

Penicillin is not the greatest thing to use, but amoxicillin has much less bacterial resistance. At lot of bacteria have built up resistance to penicillin. Most people use around 57 mg per pound given twice a day. Some sources recommend 125-250 mg twice a day.
