Could I raise chicks in this?

I'm getting a couple of these for other projects and I figured I'd ask if this would work as an indoor brooder as I'm unable to get the wood I need to build one myself like I wanted. I've looked at other options for brooders and haven't found any that would work besides this.
I have put the dimensions below underneath the picture.

I have everything for a brooder except for the brooder itself.
Also, before anyone mentions it, I don't use a heat lamp. I use a heating pad and a brooder heat plate.

It's 50 gallons.

Outside Dimensions: 39 3/4" x 21 1/2" x 17 7/8"
Interior Dimensions at bottom: 34 1/4" x 18" x 17 3/8"
 
We used similar when we had 2 chicks on accident (broody hen). The other box we use had other size babies in it. I didn't trust them together with 2 being so young.
You'll want a lid of either some chicken wire or hard wear cloth. It didnt take very long before the babies in a box were flying out when I opened for water or food or just to cuddle them. I saw a video on Y tube, they used a big ole watermelon box as the birds got older. Its deeper and usually free from the markets.
