Hello! I was just wondering if anyone could post a picture of a Dark Cornish. Thank you!
have you been to feathersite? Check out http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Cornish/BRKCornish.html
I've rasied dark cornish before, and I do have pics on disc around here somewhere. If the link doesn't do it for ya, let me know and I'll try to find you a pic.
Thank you SOO much for the link! Amazing pictures on that site!! Does anyone think that this could be a Dark Cornish pullet?
I'm not an expert, but to me it looks like an easter egger. The legs aren't green, but I've heard that since they are mixed they can sometimes come out with legs that are other colors.
I also think this is an EE. They can have any color legs, don't have to be green.
the puffy cheeks make me think that it is and EE
I would say a EE .
definatley an EE
my dark cornish girls are much darker, and no poofy cheeks. Their heads look like vultures - all black feathers and very small and flat combs
They also have a very 'game bird' stance - VERY very long legs and a wide breast. My girls look like chickens on stilts, without much feathering.
Don't know what your chicken IS, but I don't think it's a dark cornish. Legs are too short, body too stocky and those poofs...
Did you get your chickens from a hatchery or from someone else? That can help figure out if it is supposed to be a pure bred or could be a 'barnyard special'
It sounds like she's an EE. Thanks for all of your submissions!
