I have always liked Cochins over any other breed of chicken since I was 3 years old as this was what my grandfather raised. His rooster Colors was super frienldy and now, I have taken on Cochins in both Bantam and Large Fowl. The Banams I have are Mille Fluer Project, Mottled, Blue, Mottled, Splash, Buff Barred, and my own "designer" colored Cochins, I just mix up all colors to see what I get for fun. In LF I have Lemon Blue and Brown Red. These are Lynne's (wwmicasa1) version. I love this color. I only have two that have yellow in them but will hopefully get some more from hatching. All my LF came from Lynne. Here are my Bantams. I have 3 of this color. The father of them was my black mottled Dudley. Here is Napoleon- another I hatched from Dudley- This is my first Cochin I hatched. Her name is Chess Chief- has horrible type but at the time I purchased him I knew nothing about type or quality This is Remington. I got him from Lynne and was my first Mille Fleur cochin rooster. He is 1 of my favorites. The following I got all came from Nancy (Fancy Feathers). Sunshine Roo- has the best type in my MF's. Kipper- He was supposed to be a calico but it doesn't look like he will. I won't care though- as long as he developes type and isn't dark red like Remington. I'm hoping Kipper is my lightest of the Mf 3 cockerels. Tuba- she is my Mille Fleur Mottled pullet. I'm hoping she will be a big help in my Mf project as her mother looks awesome and gives Nancy georgous Chicks. Her sister Oboe is also beautiful. But I don't think I will have to worry about Tuba. She is already super. Nancy- Gracie- Tiffany- Chipper- my most typey hen My new buff barred cockerel from Lynne- I have other as well but don't have photos of them right now.
