Hi and welcome to BYC, Donald - great that you have joined us. Coops come in a myriad of shapes, size and designs. I'd suggest hopping over to the Coops Section - the ideas there should keep you going for hours, if not days.

    Best wishes

Greetings from Kansas, Domald, and welcome to BYC. Great to have you here. I agree with CTKen...coops come in all shapes and sizes, designs, and costs. Some folks have the Taj Mahal of coops; others opt for a simple and functional design. Much depends on how many birds you're getting and their purpose...Eggs? Meat? Both? They will need about 4 sq. ft./bird in the coop and 10 sq. ft./bird in the run. Lots to think about. Best of luck in your search and decision making. Best wishes.
