The Bourbon County, Kansas, courthouse has a rooster hanging around. Is it a White Leghorn? I have a White Leghorn rooster, and the courthouse rooster looks a lot bigger than mine. Their combs are different too.

Its possible he is a Rose Comb White Leghorn. Would need closer pics to determine for sure. His earlobes don't look completely white. Could be a cross or just not mature yet. Wrong body shape for a White Wyandotte.

I think he's a mix. Likely has Leghorn blood, but he's too heavy and wrong comb. I don't think whites come in rose comb, just browns.

Actually the APA has accepted large breed Rose Combed Leghorns in Dark Brown, Light Brown, White, Black, Buff, and Silver.

    cool, I didn't know that.

    but I still don't think he's a pure Leghorn.

I don't think so either. He doesn't quite right, ya know.
