My brahma laid her first egg this morning. [IMG]

I guess it hit the wood floor of the nest box. It has a small crack. Nothing was leaking out of it and I had collected it soon after she laid it then put it in the fridge. Will it be safe to eat tomorrow morning?

Oh, we've retrieved cracked eggs many times! I even had some that bubbled when in water, but did not float. Most I ate after a couple weeks actually. No issue.

As long as the membrane didn't break, I was fine with it. I just ate a cracked egg today. Feelin' great! ;) Not everyone may have the same opinion on it though.
