Crackling Sound

I have a 3 week old chick who has been quiet and generally lethargic for a few days. I have brought it back into the house, and I went and got it an electrolyte/vitamin mix today, and have been watering her by syringe. I noticed there is a strange crackling sound when she drinks. I thought at first it was her feathers on my shirt, but then realized it was inside her body. Im not sure if its her lungs, or her vent area. Any ideas?

Sometimes when you syringe feed you get stuff in their lungs, that's what I might suspect if it been since you were helping it. They will sometimes develop pneumonia from it.

It's hard to say if it had problems before you started to help or not, hopefully it clears up. It's so frustrating to try to help them sometimes. Just don't rush and liquid and let them swallow, but even when you are careful it can happen.
