I was free ranging my flock of 11 pullets because I've been gone for the last 10 days and didn't even think about the neighbor coming over to help with our storm rolled playground equipment. I should have known.. their dog ALWAYS follows them over here, if not with them, a time later. DH heard chickens clucking in coop. Dog killed one of my Columbian Wyandottes.
Not happy. I guess they won't be free ranging anytime soon. We have 5 acres and there is no way we can fence it off for them to free range safely. Not happy.
