My big chicken won't let any of the bantams do anything. She pecks them, chases them, and occasionally pulls out clumps of feathers! She is extremely intelligent for a chicken, and has always been a very sweet, chicken until we got more chicks.
We don't know what to do, if we lock her up she'll throw herself against the chicken wire, and I'm worried she's gonna hurt herself doing that. Any ideas on how to calm her down?

  2. Introduce new chickens slowly. Put them in a safety area for a few weeks to month. Allow the new flock to see and hear the others but can not get beat up. She is just doing what naturally takes place to guard her territory. It is tough to introduce Bantams with a pre established flock of full size hens. Size does matter.

    Wish you the best.

They've been in two separate runs next to each other for two years now and nothings changed, thanks for the idea though.
    Any other ideas?
