My three-week-old chicks have been very rambunctious for about an hour every morning for the past few days, and I am wondering if this is normal! They are quiet early, but around 8:30 or so they start flapping, running, squawking and knocking things over in the brooders for about an hour--or more. it is still going on at a quarter to ten! They are not picking on one another or anything bad. Is it just extra energy? The rest of the day they are fairly quiet and peaceful.

Yep, they do have spurts of energy and will go bizerk once in a while. Perfectly normal!

If you want even more of a laugh, try giving them some mealworms during their "crazies"!
