Has any one else had a rooster that went into the coop and raised h e l l every time "his" hen layed an egg? I've gotten a newer rooster a bb red bantam who has started this and he acts like someone or thing is trying to kill her every time and it's becoming rather annoying...... today I'm finally tired of it so I'm sitting her with a spray bottle full of water and every time he goes near the coop I spray him with water.... it's all I can think of with out causing a bigger ruckus

I've had young roosters that thought something was wrong every time one of the girls started the egg song but usually outgrew it within a few weeks but I did have an EE that always ran to the run just to be sure every time but at least he got quieter with age.

he screams with the same pitch and time as if something was trying to kill him seriously not even exaggerating at all with then cause every other adult to mimic this abnoxius warning call, I've been raising birds for quite a few years and have never seen this, this is a first for me iv3 seen rosters who would make noise like hey good job, or hens that where like hey look what I did, but never a rooster screaming bloody murder when the hens lay
