Sorry I did not get any pics of this crazy hen, but she was sure a funny one.

Now I free range my birds. They have a coop they go in every night.
Well one of my standard bronze turkey hens started a nest of eggs on one corner. She had a nice nest of 13 eggs. I was walking by one day and heard this big fight going on in there. Thinking one of the barn cats was raiding the nest I ran in there.
Now here was the turkey and the turken fighting each other.
Turken won. She took over that nest of 13 eggs and somehow she was able to cover them all. Everytime the turkey came in she would chase her out.
That turken hatched out 11 of the 13. I put the other 2 in my incubator after I candled them. After they hatched I took the chicks outside and that crazy Turken started chasing me around the yard when she heard those chicks peeping. I put them down and ran for it.
This bird would chase the barn cats that came anywhere near her "babies".

Most can only dream of having a hen that is that good of a mommy! Give that girl some extra treats and good cuddles. She has earned it!! [IMG] [IMG]
