Crested Drake plucked bald, tissue showing

    Someone please help. Will he be okay? The other two drakes plucked his crest bald. I think skin too.

    Sometimes those crests are just irresistible to other birds, poor duck. If there are any bloody spots showing, dab some Blu-Kote on them so they won't be even more attractive to the peckers. The ER forum redsoxs gave you the link for will be able to help you out...a photo of the wounded duck can be helpful to figuring out how best to treat him.
