my boy Beavis seems to be okay but every time he is done swimming his rather large crest appears as though it is bleeding or possibly getting ready to come off. but it isn't really bleeding (if that makes sense.) here's after he gets out to dry [IMG]

    and dry any helpful hints?[IMG]

Crested ducks have holes in their skulls..:(.....Lots can suffer from brain injuries or issues....

    Best wishes...:)

yes I have done lots of research ever since i got him about a month and a half ago. very sad situation. however he hasn't seemed to have many issues with it except the head tilting and now this. the larger it grows the more i fear it will become too heavy and rip right out if that is even possible. @Miss Lydia

You could trim his poof so it's not so top heavy...Give him a hair cut....:)....

I haven't seen this before @ForDucksSake Not saying it hasn't happened though.

Chicken really is right though you can trim the feathers back just be careful which I am sure you would be.

Lets see we have a few with Crested ducks here I'll do some tagging.
