Crested duckling looking for a forever home (Los Angeles)

Hi everyone,

We found a baby crested duckling last Saturday in a cardboard box on the sidewalk near our home (Santa Monica, CA). After waiting a few days and no owners found, we are now looking to find a forever home for the duckling. We know it's pretty unlikely for us to find someone who wants to raise a duck in the city, so we are desperately trying everything and willing to drive to nearby counties.

Duckling: Super sweet | about 1-2 weeks old | loves people and loves to swim | Probably a pet duck breed and not a meat/egg duck | has a fabulous head fluff

Ideal home: farmhouse | urban farmyard | grassy yard with access to water

We are also reaching out to local animal rescue groups to see if anyone will take it in. If you have a contact in that field, please let me know as well.
