My great grandma used to do it in a crockpot and it sounds cool - does anybody know how?

Hmm...I'm too much of a worrier to have tried it myself, but I remember seeing some threads on the BYC about it. Have you tried doing a search?

Okay, instead of doing the whole incubation process in one how about just the hatching part? I put a couple of chicken eggs in with my duck eggs in the Tophatch. Tomorrow is day 18 for the chick eggs so I need to do something quick. If it would be too hot on low, how about putting a heating pad in there with a towel on top of that? I'm scrambling for ideas. Can't afford to get another incubator right now and didn't stop to think [IMG] about the last few days and how the humidity is different and there's no turning. So.....
