my husband and I just bought 10 new barred rock chicks. . and out of the 10 we happened to find out that this little one has a very crooked beak. Has anyone ever had any experience with this? I've heard that as long as she has a deep dish to eat from she will be okay, but is this going to be so profound that she may not be able to eat? When we first got them it was hard to tell but this is two weeks later, it seems like its just getting worse and worse, as I'm sure it will be extremely dufficult when it's grown.. Thanks in advance!
  2. The crossed beak will get worse as she grows. She is going to be a special (very special) needs chicken. Be prepared for special feeding at least twice a day for the rest of her life.

We had one like that in a batch of chicks, last year. It did get worse. She didn't make it.
