can a 4 week old chick survive if its beak is crooked and actually crosses over its self, we just noticed that it was so crooked but as far as i can tell the chick is eating and drinking. i pretty sure you cannot fix it, so i guess i am asking would it best to cull it now or just wait and see??

You wouldn't want to use it for breeding because scissor beaks have a large genetic component. I had a chicken like this, she lived into the egg laying stage before she jumped into the cow tank and drowned. : ( There was a little bit of extra maintanence, in that I had to remove some of the food that would stay in the grooves of her mouth, as well as triming & fileing the beak.
