I have never had any birds have crooked neck from hatches. I then hatched out some more silkies and I have had two come up with crooked neck. Now, I have read that it is hereditary but I have also heard that some people think it is not. What do you think and should I try and find which parent bird it is and not use it anymore or is this just a fluke, head injury, vitamin defeciency, or incubation problem? I have hatched about 20 silkies and two had crooked neck. I hatched out 6 standards and none have had it and some of these were hatched with some of the silkies.
Any info would be appreciated. One happened before the other and the one is now almost fixed. The other I found today. I would like info on where to go from here in the hereditary department. Thanks.
