crooked toes on chick 5-6 weeks old. Too late to splint?

I have a 5 week old chick-golden campine (delicate feet) raised with larger sized chicks of same age. Toes were either hatched this way or injured, but is it too late to splint?

Splint is usually done at a few hours old but if you think it's a recent injury, you could try.
