cross breeding fantail/collared doves

hi,

I just purchased a male fantail and female collared dove for my quail aviary. Is it possible for these to cross-breed and is is also advisable to keep additional males/females?

yes. it is recomended to have a few pairs, as pigeons are flock animals and like to live in groups.

You can but the cock [male] might abandon the hen with the eggsor babbies [the hen might abandon the nest then].
