I definately have that cross. My Jersey Giant is my best layer and I know for a fact
some of her eggs hatched in the bator. Only 2 roos could be dad, either a white
leghorn or a blue silkie. Poor little silkie tried hard but I don't think he was ever
able to do the rooster dance with the JG. All the chicks are 2 to 5 weeks old but all
white like their dad. Some are getting the fat/fluffy body types of the Giant and Buffs.

14 days (or so) The one on left is 1/2 JG,Australorp, or Buff

28 days I think this one is 1/2 JG. She is fluffy and growing faster than the others.

Your gonna get white birds since their dad is white. I'm hoping to tell the mother
by the growth rate. MY JG was twice the size of my others at 8 weeks. My JG
also developed waddles quicker than the others.

They look like they have the Jersey shape and eyes. I always thought my white Jerseys looked evil with those black eyes. :|

Quote:JG's aren't evil. It's the silkies that are evil.

Those pics are older. I'll try and get some new ones later.

This bird is fat, has waddles, and thick legs, all traits of a JG.

The bird in the back left is a full Leghorn (We think)
The one in the center is a mystery (thin legs)

This may be a JG/Leghorn roo

My dad wanted me to post these pics.

There is no guarantee these have JG in them. We had 4 eggs hatch from this
batch. Two were white eggs, making them full leghorn, and two were brown.
Their mom could have been an Australorp or Speckled Sussex too. I just have
a feeling the JG was Mom.

We have 15 more 2 week old crosses so we know a few of those are jg/lh
crosses. They are too small to tell. All are yellow/white.
