Crossing Black Copper Maran Roo with Cuckoo Hen

I have 3 Black Copper Maran Roos which I plan on breeding with my BCM hens. I’m hoping to strengthen the dark egg color. I also have Cuckoo Maran hens. If I cross the Black Copper Maran Roos with the Cuckoo Hens, will their offspring retain the dark egg color when they lay?

Firstly you will get black sex links. The males will be barred with leakage and the females will be black with leakage.
If the mother of the Marans cocks or their sisters lay dark brown eggs then there is a good chance that you can use the cocks to darken the egg color.
