I have a chick that's probably about a week and a half old and he/she's making the oddest noises. It's not all the time, but every once in a while. Could this possibly be a roo that's trying to crow?

Never mind. It was a dumb question. I figured it out. I don't know what to call the noise she/he's making, but it isn't that.

No worries. There are no dumb questions here. A 1 1/2 week old chick can look at ya
wrong and cause an anxiety attack. [IMG]

LOL! These are the first 14 that I've really raised and so I'm very new at it. It was just making the oddest noise so I was a bit concerned, but I thought it was awfully early for crowing to be coming on. I guess it's anxiety because I'm really pulling for them to be pullets (I think that's what everyone here is calling the females. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that). We already have two roosters and we can't keep any others.
