Cuckoo in my nest. What is it?

    Hi, I hatched some eggs I bought. There were RIR, Barred rocks, Welsummer, and silkies. I have two chicks that don't look like any of those. Any guess[​IMG]es. I pictured one of the two with a Welsummer for a comparison. The chick in question is on the left.[​IMG]

    Looks like a RIR or Production Red feathering out to me. They will do that on the wings as they grow in feathers. It will fade away as the feathers become red with black trimming.

    Thanks. It must be the production red part as my others were much darker.
