    Hi, welcome to BYC! [IMG]

If it is a barred rock, it is a pullet.

Other barred breeds could be cuckoo Marans, though I would expect feathered legs and don't really consider either exotic. [IMG]

And the comb looks straight, so not Dominique.

SO looking at the chicks in that link...

Their Marans do not have feathered legs. But if you look at the chick pics, it could be Dominique or Andalusians.

They didn't have pics of their Marans.

I think it may very well be a cuckoo maran! Any other thought on breed and sex?

Barred rocks, dominiques, and cuckoo marans are all very similar (in appearance) as adults and as chicks

Not an Andalusian. The white spot on the head means it's barred or cuckoo. Straight comb, clean pink legs and "rare" catagory means it's a cuckoo Marans.

Dominiques have rose combs and yellow skin
Rocks have straight combs and yellow skin.
Cochins have yellow skin, straight combs and feathered legs.
