How do you cure an irrational craving for chicks? My latest batch of girls just started laying consistently a couple of weeks ago and I miss babies! The freaky thing is that I'm really good at it. Never lost one. They all grew to happy, shiny, fluffy hens. I look at the dismantled brooder and the lights, the leftover chick starter etc and I *really* want more chicks.
But how silly is that when I have so many layers comfortably housed in their tractors, laying so many eggs that I'm donating 10 dozen a week. I just want more babies.
