Curious about breed cross

Last week sometime I posted about wondering if I had a cockerel because it had massive tail feathers at a younger age.... I loved the feedback. My family isn't new to chickens but we've never had a brood of our own hatch-- always purchased. Anyways I was wondering if anyone here had crossed a buff Ee hen and SLW rooster. Looking at them it looks like they laced wings with solid heads. Is that even possible??
 
Yes, with a laced parent, the offspring will be partially laced. The EE mom though, with mixed genetics, will be difficult to say what she brings in to the mix.😊

She was mislabeled as a buff Orpington which became quite obvious when tufts came in blue eggs were laid. I'd post a pic but she's still feathering back in. We have partridge EEs that haven't gone broody thank goodness. 😊
