Cut leg

One of my chickens had a leg band on and it somehow started growing into her leg!! She came with the leg band on and I just hadn't checked it or taken it off yet and noticed her limping...there is a decent sized wound on her leg that we sprayed with a wound care spray and other than limping she seems fine...anything else I should do?

Sorry to hear about your lady and her bad leg. Could you post a pic of her wound? Infection could be your biggest worry with an open wound so keeping it as clean as possible is paramount for her especially if it's very deep. Cleaning it regular will be most helpful for her. Wound care spray and or anti bacterial spray/ointment should help keep it clean.
