    These are pics of my RIR, her name is Macaroni, she had ONE tail feather but it got plucked by one of the bigger hens [​IMG]

    Very pretty chickens! That is amazing that she doesn't have a tail. I have never seen that before (but then again, I am a newbie to chicken world)

    Both versions are pretty the one with the tail and the one without. [​IMG][​IMG]

    I have one a lot like that. Her momma is an Aurucana (I know I messed up that spelling) and her sire is a Cochin so she looks pretty funny with no tail, the tufts, and then fuzzy feet. LOL I love her though and she is one of my favorites even though I paid for purebred eggs and got the mutts out of them. She is a dark red color just like yours. So pretty:)

    yeah [​IMG] I think shes pretty funny looking. It looks like a football running across the lawn by itself haha

    I wonder if its genetics...maybe I can breed tail-less chickens hahaha

    Araucanas are tailless chickens. That is how they are bred. As a purebred they are pretty hard to find. They lay blue eggs. [​IMG][​IMG]
