Silly me thought I had 4 pullets. Then I went on vacation for a week, and suddenly the combs appear! Yikes!

- All four are 7 weeks old. 1 & 2 are Porcelain d’Uccles, and 3 & 4 are Mille Fleur d’Uccles.

- 1 has to be a cockerel, unless I’m crazy. The other three now have me guessing.

Since it’s likely I have at least one cockerel in the bunch, can anyone tell me a bit about their personality? Are they as overbearing and loud as other roos? Will they try to mate with my standard sized hens?

Thank you! ☺️
Little hint: any d'Uccle with mottling is going to feather in different between males and females. If you look at #2, you can see she has more mottling across her whole body especially her back. #1 does not. Those broad patches of plain buff are typical of cockerels.

Do you by chance know any breeders who ship started Mille Fleur pullets? I’ve fallen in love with the breed, but I’m having trouble finding reputable breeders. Thanks!
I do, but I don't recommend shipping any birds that weigh over a pound. Shipping prices got hiked by several hundred dollars.

And this breeder I know of breeds top quality show birds that go for a lot of money each. Especially females.
