Dad says 2 breeds... I'm frantic to find the perfect breed of bantam :?

Tragedy comes when Mr no name Turkey decided he needed a name by killing my 4 Japanese bantams.

Well, sadly he did end up with a name! "Protector of the dead"... Because when I found them he was going around in circles around them.

So now I'm on the search for more... I need help with breeds!

Dad is strict that it only be one breed witch is fine with me but i need the perfect breed of bantam!

I'm very interested in-

Golden sebright

Grey Japanese bantam

White Japanese bantam

Silver Phoenix bantam

But please tell me other breeds!

I will not get frizzles, silkies, duccles, or any normal breed bantam size!

Edit to add dad changed his mind to two breeds!

Oh, and the breed being a hard to raise breed is no problem as I've raised well over 400 chicks in the last 9 years and am pretty confident I know when I'm doing. But any advice would be appreciated as I'm new to bantams (not to different I assume).

Well you did ask for more bantam breeds. What are you looking for in the bantam? Friendly, docile, broody, good layer, ornamental, or a pet?

I'm in love with the look of Japanese bantams but I'm headed for a bit of everything other than pet.

I rarely handle them so pet friendly is no biggy.

I dont need many eggs so just the norm for whatever breed is fine.

As you can see from my fav I like fancy.

So you’re pretty much looking for ornamental breeds. If that’s the case, then Sebright bantams, Phoenix bantams, and Rosecomb bantams make for great ornamental breeds.

I loved my golden sebrights. They had spunk and personality, they were gorgeous, and they gave me lots of eggs.
Choosing only 2 breeds is hard, these days I surprise myself and just order the assortment. Good luck!

Sebrights are spunky, friendly and really smart. They can hold their own amongst bigger birds. I have a silver. She doesn't let the big chickens bully her, like my D'uccle and Cochin do.

Seramas have Japanese blood in them and are very friendly. I also love cochins.
