We have a male and female African geese - about 5 weeks old. During the day we let them out into a round portable pen that's about 10' area for them to move around. Yesterday, August 10, 2013, we found the male goose's neck stuck between the pen's metal bars. After we removed him, we found that he cannot stand up, but he still drinks and nibbles at the grass. Are there steps that we can take to get him back on his feet or is this a neurological issue without remedy?

    Please advise,
    Thank you,
    Anne

Buttno sorry bout your baby but I dont think you can do anything to help him unless u want to try a little physical therepy on his neck,ie....work his neck ,massages, stretches, strengthing excersises.he might just have sprained his neck n its just very sore now.
Good luck,i have a baby that has a hurt foot, but as weeks have come n gone it is getting around alot better now, just a little slower than the other babies
