I knew there was almost zero chance this chicken was a hen once I saw the red comb but I really wanted to keep him/her.
Alas the crowing this morning sealed the deal. [IMG]
So I created a Craigslist entry for my 10 week old Easter Egger Roo Jack, and yes I know the irony of naming him Jack.
These are my first chickens. Anything else I can do besides Craigslist to find him a good home in the Austin, Texas area?
Here's a link if anyone is interested.

You could put him in the auctions here. We got our last rooster from here - a gorgeous pet quality salmon faverolle who is still doing a great job taking care of our flock! We actually went and picked him up in Austin, too!

Oooo, where'd you get the cloth for your run! It sure looks cheaper (in terms of price) than the local hardware cloth.

I may have already found him a home [IMG]
Quote:Can you use to the auction section to list free birds?
ChickenSahib - sadly it's just the normal expensive stuff from Home Depot. Tried to find a cheaper alternative but failed [IMG] . Single most expensive part of the whole build but I read too many horror stories to use anything less.
